Blood donors get mini-physical at blood drive sponsored by Gatesville Methodist Men to benefit Carter BloodCare.

When a blood donor gives blood more than once a year, that person receives a mini-physical each time, creating a record of the trends in blood pressure, pulse, levels of iron and total cholesterol. Each piece of information provides an opportunity to monitor one’s health. Giving blood is the kind of resolution that benefits you and your community. You can be a part of this great gift to your community at the upcoming Carter BloodCare blood drive hosted by Gatesville Methodist Men, in honor of Robert Melbern, who was the Carter BloodCare coordinator for years in Gatesville. Mr. Melbern recently passed away.
