Leadership Coryell is designed to educate participants on the needs and issues facing our communities, resources currently available, economic development strategies, leadership skills building and how working together is always a better answer for future endeavors.
Monthly workshops from Aug. 10, 2010 to May 10, 2011, will include tours and speakers on topics such as the history of Coryell County, local government, educational systems, criminal justice, healthcare and social services, military and industry, agriculture and economy.
Participants will also work together on a community project in order to better understand group dynamics, teamwork, leadership styles, facilitation and implementation of the project.
There is a $250 per person participation fee, this covers a meal at each workshop, retreat/team-building program, tours, facility costs, speakers and all material that will be included in the 2010 LEADERSHIP CORYELL program.

| Local Youngster in U.S. Kids Golf World Championship |

Played at Pinehurst Resort, the home of American Golf, the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship is the largest and most prestigious event for players 12 and under.
This three-day tournament, held in the setting of tall southern pines and Donald Ross greens, attracts over 1,200 participants from across the United States and more than 30 countries abroad. Players, ages 5 to 12, qualify for the World Championship through World Championship Qualifiers, Local Tours, European and Regional Championships, and performance in previous World Championships.
Cameron Hudson, age 7, will represent Gatesville and Texas at this event. He will compete against 100 boys his age from around the world. Please call Stephanie (AKA Mom) at 254-223-2969 with questions or to make a donation. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
