Coryell Memorial Hospital serves the community with 55 beds and a medical staff providing quality medical care. Hospital services include a Coronary Care/Intensive Care, Day Surgery, and 24-hour emergency room services. The Meadows Nursing Facility is a recent addition to the Coryell Memorial Healthcare System. The Welcome Program, an assisted living facility, is designed for individuals needing extra help with activities of daily living. The Oaks at Coryell combines assisted living and residential-style living with special care services such as prepared meals, housekeeping and a 24-hour emergency call system. Hillcrest Health System announced plans to build a multi-million dollar health clinic which will cover more than 10,000 square feet and contain 20 exam rooms, two special procedure rooms, rooms for laboratory and X-ray, office space for physicians and a dedicated children’s play/waiting area. While the permanent building is under construction, a temporary modular clinic cares for patients at the same location. Scott & White Clinic in Gatesville adjacent to Coryell Memorial Hospital, offers Preventive Care, Acute Care for Minor Emergencies, On-site Laboratory, Office and General Surgery, Family Medicine, Office and General Surgery, Radiology Services, and Dietitian Services. Open late during the week and on Saturday morning for minor emergencies, S&W Gatesville has special appointment times set aside for children so they do not have to miss school.
